Shirdi Sai Baba Stories,Leelas and Teachings.: Miracle of Sai Umbrella.

Sai devotee Rasalatha had sent 2 Sai Leela experienced by her .One Sai leela I had posted and other I am posting now.Reading Baba's leela shared by sai children ,clearly indicates Baba's love for His children .Without writing any further I am pasting the mail sent by Rasalatha.Jai Sai Ram.

Baba has shown lot of miracles and blessed me always. I strongly believe whatever I am today is because of Baba. He is everything to me. I was a Non-Vegetarian ,even in those days I used to offer whatever Non-vegetarian I used to cook. Friends used to look at me in a different way.

But I used to feel if I cannot offer that to Baba then it is not fit to eat and I cannot taste without offering to my Sai, because he is one among us -I cannot leave him and eat to fulfill my tongue .Last year I turned vegetarian., as a mark of thanking my Sai I started performing puja on Sai's Punyathithi .

I had been searching to buy an umbrella for my Sai in the month of Oct ’08 before Sai’s Punyathithi. I searched many places for it in past 2 weeks. I was upset and was telling my Sai, “Sai I only wanted to buy one umbrella why you are not helping/guiding me? “ I was sharing this with my friend whom I met in the temple on Sunday and she was leaving for good from Texas to California next day.

She went to one jewellery shop and asked for it, they said they don't have .At the same time one lady rushed to her and said they have just one piece but it is just the umbrella without any stand but it has a small hook.

My friend bought it and kept in our car without telling us anything. After searching in the shop when I came to the car I found the gift box with umbrella and was so happy to receive it .But I was again confused how to fix it as there was no stand to hold it ??. I Of course thanked my friend from bottom of my heart and Sai Baba for guiding and at least getting something done.

Then me and my friend searched in another shop to find something to fix the umbrella .My friend said the same jeweller from where she bought the Top of umbrella (round shape) said if we give him a week's time they may try to fix the stand.

Since she did not have time she could not help me. I told my husband about it and he said fine let's go to the jewellers. We went to them they said they are only goldsmith and to do silver work it will need a weeks time.

I said its okay and they asked the size of Pratima.I gave a rough measurement and I told them to keep like a round plate and one rod attached to it so that the umbrella can be hooked to the rod and it should be 1” by 1” and they said they will call me on Friday or Saturday .

I came home and looked at Sai he needed a square plate because my peetam (small stool used for keeping God’s prathima/pooja untesils) was square and he required 1 1/2 by 2 inch width size.

Immediately I called the jeweller shop to tell the correct measurement and to my surprise they said they have already cut a plate in square shape that too measuring 1 1/2 by 2 inch I was so thrilled and thought Baba must have worked with this otherwise one can imagine!!!.

I started to prepare dinner when in 2 hrs time call came from the jeweller saying my umbrella stand is ready,I could not believe ,so soon !! tears rolled my eyes.

All this happened in 4 hrs time! I felt so happy I cannot explain in words ,I thanked my friend for her timely gift and Baba for working on my wish. Of course this was not possible in any way other than Baba’s blessing to get it done.

Readers would like to know when did the thought of having an umbrella for Baba came to my mind?When we went to India for vacation (June-’08) I bought pancharati for Sai, one small conch shell, one small pot for him to drink water but somehow umbrella was not in my mind .We had a very good darshan in Shirdi attending all the 4 aratis, abhishekam for Sai , Satyanarayana puja ( one miracle which i will narrate to u in my next mail.)

After coming back from Shirdi , when I went to Baba's temple close to my house in Texas, I saw Sai’s new silver umbrella in temple and felt very happy about it. I told to Sai, “Sai with your blessings, when I visit India in near future, I shall buy a bigger size prathima and buy a silver umbrella like this".

It was an instant hearts desire to have now a umbrella for Baba.But I had never thought that my Sai would work out on our wish and prayer in U.S itself and that too without delaying .

After getting the umbrella ,I decorated the umbrella .I cannot believe my own eyes. My Sai is resting so well in the shade of the umbrella. I thank my Sai for listening to my heart felt desire and blessing to get it done in His own way .I know without His blessing this would not have happened.

I don't want to have ego in whatever I have written to you. I hope Sai will pardon me if anywhere I have shown my ego . I always wish to write all my miracles and publish .

Tears rolled down when I read my post in your blog today. Actually last month I dreamt seeing my miracles posted with Sai’s pictures in my dream on Sairam’s day. That’s when I immediately started mailing you. But I did not insist you to post it on Thursday but according to Sai’s wish you have posted on a Thursday itself. Thanks for this wonderful service.
