Chanting At Lords Feet-Experience By A Sai Devotee.

Dear all,
Happy Baba's day .
Today I am sharing a nice experience of a Sai devotee who experienced this leela in Sai temple of Vasanth Pura in Banglore. The devotee has also shared the important details of Sai Baba Temple -Vasnath Pura along with beautiful photos of the temple. Devotees can view the photo and learn about the temple by visiting the temple website .And the experience of the devotee I am sharing and attaching it below.Jai Sai Ram.

Sairam Manisha didi,
Here I am sharing a beautiful experience I had in divine temple Vasanth Pura.

Last to last week, they had conducted Sai Naam Jap for 72 hours (ceaseless chanting of Om Sai Shri Sai Jaya Jaya Sai)

I never knew of it before, all of a sudden that Saturday, I came to know of it and suddenly felt like going there. I went all alone, took an autorickshaw. Half way through it struck me, I had not got any sweets for Baba and I did feel like offering Jamuns.
I had realised it too late, for almost we were close to the temple. I had been there before and I knew, no shops were there, as it seems a little away from the busy city limits. I thought, "Oh Baba, I really wanted to bring jamuns as naam jap is going on..and here I am coming empty handed. Not even a single chocolate in my hand..:( " As this very thought crossed me, came ONE shop standing in that distant place and never did I dream - but they did have a tin of gulab jamuns MTRs freshly packed!!!! Imagine my joy.

I felt much much at peace as I sat there. IT was heavenly.

Around 1.00 pm in the noon, rain started pouring in torrents. My friend was deeply concerned as she kept messaging me asking how I would return back. I had planned to start around at 2.00 pm. No vehicle, the temple is away, and I do not know the route. But I was at peace ,I felt at home. Why worry,HE knows it all, was the deep conviction I had.

I casually turned back, I saw an old man seated in a chair, with his hand in blessing posture. It is rare to see a devotee sitting on a chair right in front of Baba and keeping his hand in blessing posture. He was very elderly. Anyways, as soon as I saw him, he brought his hand down and was siting casually. Even I just brushed off the thoughts and turned back.

Later, I stepped out, had some prasad and went to the temple office, where I knew a good collection of Sai Literature was available. I sat and kept seeing through the books which I had not come across.

I had selected a couple of books and had decided I wont be buying more than those 2 books. Still, I was a little keen on seeing another big book on the shelf. I casually took it out and was going through the pages. The secretary, an elderly person told me kindly, to have lunch upstairs. I told him I am not hungry and that prasad was sufficient. Just then many people were returning from the lunch area. However I was not facing them.

The secretary also convinced me to buy that book which I was holding in hand. I said no, some other time and was just seeing through the contents. I was wondering within my mind, if i should buy or not, when from behind the same elderly person who sat with blessing hand came from behind and placed 2 pictures of Baba and an udi packet on the opened book.

I turned to see who it was, it was the same elderly devotee in white dhothi and white jibba and a cotton long bag on his side. I assumed he was returning from the lunch area. He just walked away without waiting for me to even turn back. There were many in that office room apart from me. I was surprised, I took it as a clear sign that I have to purchase this book and readily purchased it. That book is hard bound with picture stories, containing many parables from the Sat Charita.

Later when I got back to the temple and sat, felt strongly Baba's smile and HIS communication.

The rain did not seem to stop. I did not notice that elderly devotee later.

I was feeling sleep in between as I was a little sick and tired of the travel. I told Baba, pardon me please, but I shall sleep here in Your lap for a few minutes, after that I shall continue to chant. I am a little unwell Baba I said. Only 10 minutes do wake me up after that. :)

I slept, where I had a dream as well, where I saw Baba's face in pictures. And when I was in that deep sleep, suddenly someone shook me by the shoulder, it was the maid who was sweeping the temple. She said, all have had their lunch, you too go. I wasn't hungry. But I knew, i should rather be chanting now than sleeping.

I sat up briskly and chanted. The main troop which was leading the chant was reciting on the mike. I had a desire to chant on the mike too. Strange.. that I wished for it. Because, I generally prefer being unnoticed. But what makes it stranger is, several months ago, I had had a dream where I see myself going for some naam japa and I wish to chant in the mike, no one gives me and I see Baba smiling and relaxing. As I am about to leave the temple, I get the mike and I loudly tell OM SAI SRI SAI JAYA JAYA SAI.

:) I got reminded of the dream.

Anyways, as I continued chanting with the crowd, I casually opened Mirabai's book of poetry which i had in my bag. Just to get inspired. One apt poem I came across, wherein Mirabai says, "I do not want jewels or riches, but the feeling of fragrance of my Lord's Feet is enough for me" , she says. I loved it.

I closed the book and was even more inspired and chanted. IT was still raining and I was very very very happy looking at Baba, that I imagined or rather felt like, going out, stretching my two hands on two sides as I get drenched in the rain and loudly sing, Om Sai Sri Sai Jaya Jaya Sai..

After some time, the rain stopped I felt Baba tell me, now it was time for me to leave. It was a little past four. I got up, went to bow and touch His Feet again, I told Him.. "hmm.. You are sending me without giving the mike"... As I came over to get my bags and was about leave, I thought I should be making some effort. But the troop was singing with nice musical notes and they were all in perfect sync. With all their chantings and the instruments they had. I would make mess here i thought, as such I do not know any music more so, I was being troubled by a bad fit of cough. Incase I had it while chanting, all would go for a toss, I thought. So, better let me not wish for these, I thought.

I took my bags slowly as I did not feel like leaving at all. I kept looking at the troop, suddenly I went there by myself and sat beside them. A lady there asked me if I would like to chant, I said yes. The master or head of that troop who was leading them all, gave me the mike. Before I could believe, I took it and chanted, and while chanting I again imagined myself dancing in the rain and telling Baba that I too desire no jewellery/riches, but just the feel of HIS Feet is enough for me.

After some 5 minutes, I felt my tone was jumbled and not uniform or what I do not know, because I felt the ladies of that troop exchnge smiles. It was almost 5 minutes and I was very grateful for this big reward. I looked at the lady and I handed over the mike to her, she seemed only ready to get it. I from the bottom of my hearts thanked Baba, and as I was just completing my chanting, waiting for someone else to take over, I was quietely moving away, trying to express my gratitude to that lady when that man with the instrument, signalled to me, "to continue.. " and they gave back the mike to me..

I was thrilled.. Here Baba enjoyed my chanting and HE wanted more of it .. HE asked for it.
I was super thrilled.

Now, nothing stopped me. I went on.. at the top of my voice.. I did not care good or bad it was, i did not care for anyone else, all I knew was, dearest Lord is enjoying and my love for Him is true.. I gladly chanted another 20 minutes and got up. Left around 5-45, when the whether was perfectly fine.

JAI SAI RAM
